Our Contract
Our Contract
Application: These terms apply when you purchase limited-edition or one-off artworks from us.
Order Acceptance: A contract is formed when we email you an invoice alongside your order confirmation and order number. If we cannot accept your order (e.g., the artwork is unavailable or incorrectly priced), we will notify you and refund you in full.
Our Artworks
Our Artworks
Editions: Artworks printed in strictly limited, numbered runs. Once sold out, they are never reprinted.
Artist's Proofs (A/P): Test prints outside the numbered run, marked "A/P".
One-offs: Unique, original handmade artworks. Certificates of authenticity are provided and cannot be re-issued if lost.
Variations: Because our artworks and frames are handmade, all sizes and colours carry a 2% tolerance and may vary slightly from online images.
Delivery & Collection
Delivery & Collection
Costs: Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. For fragile framed works, specialized shipping rates apply.
Studio Collections: Collections are free from Studio 22, Hackney Downs Studios, London, E8 2BT by pre-scheduled appointment.
Delivery Risks: We remain responsible for the artwork until it is physically delivered to your address. If you fail to accept or rearrange delivery, you may be liable for storage and redelivery fees.
International Sales & Exports
International Sales & Exports
Tax-Free Export (VAT Registered Artists): If you are an international buyer (outside the UK) purchasing an artwork by a VAT-registered artist, the sale may be eligible for zero-rating (0% VAT). This is handled strictly by request and must be arranged with us prior to making your purchase online.
Shipping Requirement: To qualify for zero-rated VAT, Partnership Editions must arrange the direct delivery to your international destination via our approved couriers to secure the required legal Proof of Export. If you arrange your own collection, or if the artwork is delivered to a UK address, standard UK VAT will apply.
Non-VAT Registered Artists: Please note that if an artwork is by a non-VAT registered artist, no VAT is included in the price. Therefore, no tax reduction is applicable for international export.
Import Duties: The buyer is solely responsible for all local import VAT, customs clearance fees, and duties imposed by the destination country upon arrival.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance
Legal Obligation: Partnership Editions is a registered Art Market Participant under UK Anti-Money Laundering Regulations.
Verification Threshold: For any single transaction, or a series of linked transactions, with a value of £10,000 or more (or currency equivalent), we are legally required to conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) before the sale can be finalized.
Required Information: If your purchase meets or exceeds this threshold, we will contact you to verify your identity. You will be required to provide a valid photo ID and proof of address.
Compliance Hold: We reserve the right to withhold the processing of any sale and the release of any artwork until all legally required identity checks have been successfully completed.
